Healthy Relationship Playlist 3.0

Healthy Relationship Playlist 3.0

Last week, we talked about how the media tends to romanticize unhealthy relationships and behaviors. We also took a close look at some unhealthy messages in popular songs by Nick Jonas, Taylor Swift and Maroon 5. But the good news is there are plenty of great songs that promote healthy behaviors, too!

We created a couple of healthy relationships playlists in the past (see here and here, or listen to them on Spotify – find us at loveisrespectofficial!), so we thought it might be time for a new one. The songs we’ve chosen are about everything from crushes to break ups to long-term relationships, but they’re all based on trust, respect, equality, and honesty. Check ‘em out, and let us know which songs you’d add to the list!

Full list of songs:

Ed Sheeran – Thinking Out Loud
Janelle Monae – Primetime
Fifth Harmony – Miss Movin’ On
Delta Spirit – California
Frank Ocean – Thinkin Bout You
Taylor Swift – You Are In Love (not on Spotify – bummer!)
Kacey Musgraves – My House
Ne-Yo – Congratulations
Paramore – Still Into You
Coldplay – O
Mickey Guyton – Better Than You Left Me
Kelis – Breakfast
Vance Joy – Riptide
Ariana Grande – Break Free
Mary Lambert – She Keeps Me Warm

    1. Hi Steven,

Thank you for asking your questions. Each relationship is different and what is right for one person may not be right for another. In some cases the healthy thing to do is to end a relationship. If you ever need to reach out to an advocate about a situation you or someone you know is in, we are here 24/7 on chat, at 1-866-331-9474 or by texting “loveis” to 22522.

      Take Care
