Respect Week starts TODAY!
This special week is a great time to promote healthy relationships and raise awareness about dating abuse in your school and community. There are plenty of ways to get involved – check out some ideas below!
Wear Orange Day
On Valentine’s Day we wear orange! Stand out from the traditional pinks and reds and wear orange on Tuesday, Feb. 14 to show your support of healthy relationships. RSVP to our Facebook event to let us know you’ll be participating, and share your pics on social media with the hashtag #orange4love!
Join the Twitter Chat
On Twitter? We want to hear from you! Join our Twitter chat on Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. Central (8 p.m. Eastern) as we talk about Respect + Sex, Baby! Follow @loveisrespect and be part of the convo with the hashtag #teendvchat.
Share the National Respect Announcement
Help distribute the National Respect Announcement on Feb. 17, 2017. Join our Thunderclap to spread the message to your social networks. Read it to your class or your youth group. Spread the word!
With Valentine’s Day behind us, we’d like to remind you that everyone deserves a safe and healthy relationship. Remember, love has many definitions, but abuse isn’t one of them. If you or someone you know has a question about a relationship, healthy or unhealthy, visit loveisrespect.org or text “loveis” to 22522.
