The National Dating Abuse Helpline is accepting applications for the following postions:
Helpline Relief Advocate
The Helpline Relief Advocate is a member of the loveisrespect, National Dating Abuse Helpline (NDAH) team working to strengthen the quality and quantity of services provided by NDAH. The Helpline Relief Advocate responds to incoming calls and chats through the loveisrespect.org web site from victims, advocates, general public and service providers. The Helpline Relief Advocate provides crisis intervention, referrals, information and problem solving to all callers. This position is supervised by National Dating Abuse Helpline Shift Supervisors.
The Helpline Relief Advocate is scheduled on an as-needed basis and reports to the Shift Supervisor. Some positions require night, weekend, and holiday scheduling to provide consistent coverage during Helpline hours of operation, 24/7 hours, 365 days of the year including holidays. This position is a part-time position. The Helpline Relief Advocate responds to incoming phone calls and to chats through the loveisrespect.org web site. The position utilizes a computer database for identifying referrals and maintaining data from callers. This position requires a high level of empathy and sensitivity to all incoming inquiries.
Relief Shifts available: (2) Overnight Relief Advocates – Must be available to
pick up shifts between 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM (scheduled on an as needed
basis)
