Have you picked up the latest February issue of
Seventeen magazine? If so, you may have noticed that loveisrespect.org, National Teen Dating Abuse Helpline is featured prominently in a special piece.
Seventeen magazine included a compelling four page spread titled “Love Hurts?” with personal dating abuse stories shared by teens as well as celebrity feedback from stars such as Lauren Conrad from
The Hills. A “Red Flags – signs of danger” section was included courtesy of loveisrespect.org as well as all of our contact information so that readers know where to go for help if they need it.

The New York Times – Youth Dating Article
The New York Times featured an in-depth article on efforts to identify abuse in youth dating on January 4, 2009. LoveisRespect.org was included as a solution for teens in need of help but who are perhaps too embarrassed to admit being mistreated to their parents, teachers or peers.
The article featured great factual information and included current efforts to identify abuse as well as data on programs that train mentors for the purpose of teaching youth what is acceptable behavior in dating.
