Campaigns
“Hear My Voice” Campaign
Join Break the Cycle in the first-ever national campaign to end dating abuse in the LGBTQ community, Hear My Voice. Funded by the US Department of Justice, the campaign is currently active in Austin, Chicago, DC and Los Angeles and will expand to new cities in 2012. Online, you’ll find specific LGBTQ resources in those cities and be able to share your voice as we unite to end violence for all young people.
Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month
Each February, the nation unites to raise awareness about dating abuse. To learn more about Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month, visit teenDVmonth.org.
Break the Cycle and the National Dating Abuse Helpline are doing our part by hosting public education campaigns that reach one million young people each February. Visit 2010’s “Let Your Heart Rule” Campaign and stay tuned this fall for a special announcement about 2012!
The LOVE Campaign
How do you define love? Love is trusting, secure and accepting. Love is a rush of excitement. It’s the feeling inside when you see your partner smile. You can help promote healthy relationships with our free downloadable glitter logos, desktop wallpaper or posters and send the message that "love has many definitions, but abuse is never one of them!"
MTV’s A Thin Line Campaign
MTV developed the "A Thin Line" campaign to empower teens to identify, respond to and stop the spread of digital abuse. The campaign is built on the understanding that there is a thin line between what begins as a silly joke and what ends up really hurting someone and their future. Break the Cycle and the National Dating Abuse Helpline are proud to partner in this initiative along with other great organizations from across the country. Visit the official website to decide where your line is.
