TeenDVmonth Wrap Up

Every single one of you helped us make Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month a huge success. Our goal was to reach ONE MILLION teens and young adults—we reached that goal and then some!

Here are some highlights from the month:

President Obama once again officially proclaimed February to be Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month!

Loveisrespect’s very own National Youth Advisory Board went to the White House to attend an event hosted by the 1 is 2 Many campaign to commemorate Teen DV Month. Vice President Joe Biden was one of many speakers that day.

On Facebook alone, over 24,000 people were invited to #WearOrange For Respect on February 11th.

Our new friends over at Alpha Chi Omega held their Healthy Relationships Week during Respect Week and made a great presentation to promote it.

The girls at Quinnipiac University chapter made this AWESOME video, check it out!

Have you ever seen The Real World: Brooklyn on MTV? You’ve probably seen Sarah Rice, one of the ambassadors for PAVE! Watch the vlog she created to spread awareness during the month of February:

Thanks to everyone who helped us and don’t forget that you can help empower teens and young adults to end dating violence EVERY DAY, ALL YEAR!

Keep the conversations going—everyone deserves to experience the joy of a healthy relationship.
